About Terunyan Cemetery
Terunyan cemetery is a unique cemetery in one of the villages on the edge of Lake Batur. To get to this cemetery you have to use a boat. This village has existed since ancient times and is an authentic Balinese village. therefore this village has a unique burial concept that is different from villages in general.
The bodies will be placed on the ground without being buried or burned like the Balinese people in general. but what is the magic power is that the bodies do not smell even though they are placed like that. this is because there is a large tree that in ancient times was believed to be very fragrant. After the grave is full, the skull will be placed in a place, so that we can see the appearance of the skull perfectly.
Dewi Danu Statue
Dewi Danu statue is a large statue of Dewi Danu which is the icon of Lake Batur this time. Dewi Danu is the embodiment of the goddess who is believed by Balinese Hindus as the goddess who gives the gift of clean Lake Water.
